Thesis: Becomings Change Through the Cinematic

Someone else speaking from your throat

Two channel video installation combining digital and 16mm hand-processed footage. Someone speaking from your throat plays with fictionalizing material reality through the use of first person narration experiences and disembodied or fragmented images. It features the work of the artist Noa Bar Orian and departs from threads which are common to both our practices such as 'what makes you linger on an image, who's voice is it, how do you choose your working materials'.
In the larger context of my research I have been looking at bodies and images through non-binary lenses, following the fluid maps of becomings, interested in how change happens through the cinematic.
