Kunstprijs van de Raad 2026 awarded to Isabel Heatley

The fourth edition of the Amstelveense Kunstprijs van de Raad has been awarded to artist Isabel Heatley for her graduation project, 'The Enwinded Body'. The winner was selected on 1 July during a visit to the Gerrit Rietveld Academie’s Graduation Show. 

Members of the Adviescommissie Beeldende Kunst (ABK) and the manager of the municipal studio buildings visited the participating artists during the Graduation Show. The standard of entries was high, making the choice a difficult one.

According to the judges, Isabel Heatley stood out for the strength of her artistic vision, her compelling presentation and her ambition to forge links between art and society. They see her as an artist with great potential for development and expect that a residency in Amstelveen will make a valuable contribution to the further development of her practice.

Ateliergebouw A24
As the winner of the Kunstprijs van de Raad, Isabel Heatley will have access to a studio in Ateliergebouw A24 at Amsterdamseweg 24 in Amstelveen for one year, starting in the autumn of 2026.
