Eight Cubic Meters by Florian Sigl: systems at work (WORKING TITLE)

Service is an act that is purposefully hidden away from us, in both human and non-human form.
Showcasing objects representing either of these opens a dialogue and raises questions on how service has been systematized, valued and how the seemingly indecorous symbols of labour are being perceived - if even.
To understand how a building functions, one must look through the panels of a lowered ceiling, through a facade, on a roof, in the basement or visit outside its opening hours.
Modern life's necessities are translated into objects that slither through the width or height of each section, disappearing through walls into another space we're not able to see, but perhaps are able to imagine.
Florian Sigl is studying at the Architectural Design department, and was selected through the call for applications this academic year.
