The Pavilion will be transformed into a bakery looking space, not with the intention of selling bread, but of playing with food and around it, rebelling to what we’re often told as children: “Don’t play with your food!”.
Relying on diverse food traditions and, at the same time, on breaking of said rules, we come together at mealtimes to unconventionally prepare and eat meals, creating new rituals around the table.
The playing will happen during workshops and shared meals, in which we will try to make edible art, not only through sculptures, but also performances and storytelling.
From Wednesday 4 March until Friday 13 March, at least once a day, during mealtimes, a workshop on playing with food will be held in the Pavilion, led by different people. Everyone is welcome to join! More info about the precise programme will be shared soon.
This Pavilion project is organised by Maria Pinto, 2nd year student of the VAV - moving image department.
