The VAV – moving image department focuses on the development of moving images. In contemporary fine art, the concept of the moving image has become one of the most important means of expression. We encourage research across a range of disciplines, including film, video, sound, animation, performance and installation, where video is combined with two-dimensional and three works. It is at this interface between image and sound, analogue and digital, factual and fantastic, that unique works can be created.
