The Ceramics department provides an environment in which students can explore and develop all kinds of artistic concepts and techniques through the materiality of clay. In the department, we strongly encourage artistic research, learning to contextualise works of art, dealing with audiences and the role of the artist in society. In this environment, a solid technical introduction to the ceramics process is provided, including the construction of forms, mould making, casting, turning and glazing.
