SYMPOIESIS IMAGINARIES
Wool, clay, latex, latex, plastic, sound, light
From Ancient Greek σύν (sún), “together” and ποίησις (poíēsis), “creation, production”.
Donna Haraway defines sympoiesis as a practice of “making-with,” or “becoming-with.”
This installation explores an utopian post-human multi-species symbiosis (human, more-than-human, technology), allowing human vital functions (such as the reproduction) to be externalised and taken over by a collaborative system.
