At a time when art institutions in Amsterdam are increasingly under pressure, initiatives by and for artists are invaluable. We warmly welcome artist Lily van der Stokker's initiative: a new project space where the focus is not her own work, but that of others.

In Stokker Jaeger, opened at the Lomanstraat, Van der Stokker shows work by befriended artists and assistants. No commercialism, but a distinctive stage for remarkable works of art.

We are proud that a number of Rietveld alums are also part of exhibitions at Stokker Jaeger. For instance, the work of Eva Pel, Karoline Swiezynski, Harm van den Berg and Emmeline de Mooij has already been given a spot in the new project space.

An inspiring example of how artists create their own space. The Assistants can be seen until 19 July at Stokker Jaeger, Lomanstraat 112.
