a three-day Raku workshop took place at De Besturing in The Hague, led by ceramic artist and teacher Daniel Van Dijk. This intensive workshop offered participants the chance to explore various Raku firing techniques in a dynamic and inspiring setting among other creatives at De Besturing.

Throughout the workshop, different methods were demonstrated and practiced, including tent firing, the striking Naked Raku technique, and a variety of Raku glazings. Participants experimented with crackle glazes, metallic finishes, and the characteristic smoky black patterns of Naked Raku. The outdoor tent firing process added an extra layer of excitement, as each piece was transformed by fire, smoke, and chance.

The workshop provided not only technical skills but also insight into the unpredictability and beauty of Raku ceramics
