Workshop Talks is a series of conversations with workshop specialists from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. These discussions explore themes such as the use of materials, the role of craftsmanship in art education and preparation for professional practice.
In October 2024, the first conversation was held with workshop specialists Sanne Bax (textile workshop), Merve Kılıçer (printmaking workshop) and Stephanie ter Heide (wood workshop) on the topic of sustainibility. The three talk about historical value versus ethical standards, the origin of materials, and creating work with a purpose.
