Once a year, our academy's three buildings in Amsterdam are transformed into 5,800 square metres of exhibition space. By showcasing their graduation projects, our graduates position themselves within their fields and share how they relate to the world. The exhibition marks the beginning of a new chapter in their lives as visual artists and designers.
The show offers a diverse spectrum of expressions including film, sculpture, graphic design, language, drawing, sound, painting, photography, fashion, and more. An extensive public programme of performances will accompany the exhibition.
During the show, there will also be a shop selling creations by Rietveld graduates—all sales will go to the graduate or will be donated to a cause chosen by the graduate. Next to the shop will be the thesis presentation, where you can explore the theses put forward by supervisors from each department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie. This curated collection showcases diverse ideas that bring theory and artistic practice together. The graduating students developed these connections and insights while researching topics or fields meaningful to them, their studies and their work.
We look forward to welcoming you to our campus - free entry!
