In short: the course is an excellent and exciting way of getting to know the academy and preparing for applying to a Bachelor course at an art academy afterwards. It is an exploratory programme of 25 lessons during which you familiarise yourself with the working methods of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. You will get an insight in many different types of inspiration, material and working methods broadly spanning the fields of sculpture, drawing & painting, design and time-based media (think of moving image and sound).
📌 25 Saturdays from 12:00 to 17:00 (so you can sleep in, prepare or travel)
📌 Professional artists, designers and educators as teachers
📌 Participants are aged between 16 and 60 and have very different backgrounds and experience
