This body of work is a material exploration. I work intuitively, allowing the wood to guide the process rather than imposing a fixed outcome. Nothing is planned; everything emerges through doing.
I’m drawn to visual tension: the delicate alongside the violent, the polished against the rough, the intricate meeting the severed. Ultimately, the work becomes a kind of subconscious garden. Each piece grows from curiosity and care, rooted in the simple joy of making.
Through this process, the act of making becomes an active reminder of the practice of acceptance; from the wood workshop to life outside, don’t neglect the material’s (or yourselves) inherent direction.
