Thesis: CrisisAtRealityDreamAgencyandHeadquarters

'An installation which stages an ambiguous interior which can be best described as an abandoned shop in which a child is investigating a conspiracy. Zooming in and out, back and forth between the abstract world of finance, software, resource extraction, crystals, circles, optics and geopolitics seeking local and personal manifestations of these complex logistical networks. Connecting the dots, using diverse objects and mainly repurposed and cheap materials. The work stays open to the randomness of spillage and not prioritizing valuable results as a way of relinquishing process and attention control, with the hope of creating more agency. The display itself is not hierarchal, inviting focus on small parts to build the whole image. Liquidity is arrested in melted drips, molten metal or evaporated mineral traces. Things have been picked up off the ground to stay close to the earth while lifting up into the air with jet fuel. Apocalypse is too limiting a story for that which moves on deep geological time: the landscape, capital and toxicity changing hands. What’s offered instead of an ending is a loop or the spiral of a hollow shell.
