Thesis: Silver lining

Healing landscapes is a series of sculptures conceived from a state of burnout recovery. In this recovery, I have been walking from beach to dunes, kept on walking and ended up in the clouds. Eventually, I sunk down into the sea. Dove into the deepsea then visited the icebergs. Along the way, elements of these landscapes mirror parts of my recovery. Writing these reflections down, gave me the hope. That by sharing these stories, people that are going through something similar could feel less alone.

These kinetic sculptures helped me go from stillness to movement. Navigating in a world where rushing sometimes gets stronger than a storm. These landscapes helped to slow down and find a healthier pace. My sculptures are an ode to the sea, the icebergs and the sky. Helping me to find the silver lining.
