Thesis: The Chaos Method
Accompanying my graduation collection is an installation that utilizes all the leftover textiles and scraps that did not make it into garments; my collection was built on the principle of no waste, created only from materials I already owned, with zero budget, and nothing cut out or thrown away. As all material was found or given to me randomly in the past, it requires a certain surrender to Chaos, and working with and in unexpected ways. After the exhibition will be over, the fabric will be used for new clothing projects, and the wooden plank giving structure will be returned to the wood workshop of the school. All the materials were carefully chosen with the sole purpose of being able to be reused afterwards, in a true radical approach to sustainability.
