My practice explores how designed spaces shape the ways we interact with one another. Through interactive work, I invite visitors to reflect on their relationship to interior environments and the social structures connected with them.

Drawing from experiences within queer nightlife culture, I am interested in furniture as a medium for community building and intimacy. This project responds to the lack of furniture designed specifically for play and intimacy spaces for the FLINTA+ community (female, lesbian, intersex, non binary, trans, asexual and more).

Existing playroom furniture is often highly functional and minimal, designed from the male or heteronormative perspective.

With my space I want to create a soft and playful environment, where functionality and estethics intertwine.

The work consists of a bed with a suspended net structure above it, designed to support group intimacy and interaction. By combining functionality with playfulness, it offers an alternative environment that centers FLINTA experiences and encourages new forms of connection.
