The Gerrit Rietveld Academie presented SELECTED: an exhibition and Afternoon Sessions in collaboration with Rietveld graduates of 2019 and Looiersgracht 60 from 27 October until 3 November 2019.

SELECTED offered the artists an opportunity to present and share their graduation works with a wider audience. Additionally, by inviting members of the jury, various artists, lecturers, teachers and audiences to join them in the exhibition space, the artists developed a range of open Afternoon Sessions to share and expand their individual, and sometimes collaborative artistic practices and research interests.

In 2019, the external jury members of Autonomous Arts were Heske ten Cate (artistic director at Nest) and Martijn Hendriks (visual artist). The jury members of Applied Arts were Simone Trum of Team Thursday (graphic design studio) and Willem Velthoven (founding director of Stichting Mediamatic). The jury members of Thesis were Basje Boer (writer and filmjournalist) and Dominic van den Boogerd (art critic, art historian and former director of De Ateliers).

The festive opening was on 27 October, from 16.00 until 19.00 hrs. With silent speech, and drinks by Oedipus. SELECTED took place from 27 October until 3 November 2019 at Looiersgracht 60, Amsterdam.
